New Sol Horizon is an interactive exhibition kiosk designed to enhance educational experiences.
The goal was to create a more engaging and entertaining way for children ages 8–13 to learn about space.
The kiosk uses role-playing elements and a simple narrative structure to contextualize information and keep the users engaged and encourage them continue learning about space and explore what the exhibition has to offer.
Each section guides guests through the solar system, presenting key facts about planets and celestial bodies in a way that is more engaging and accessible. The design balances informative content with an inviting and intuitive interface experience, making learning more engaging.
Project constraints included limited data on the target audience and museum kiosk usage. To address this, I drew on my own experiences, designing the kiosk with elements I would have found engaging and enjoyable as a child
