Stellar Frontier is a collectible action figure line that takes place in a science-fiction setting with western genre elements.
The goal of the project was to design packaging that facilitates visual storytelling and the world-building of the product.
All components compliment each other and serve to enhance the overall collecting experience.
The packaging itself acts as a cargo container transporting important goods to distant settlements. Visual elements like weathered panels, distressed edges, and distorted screens, help cement the product's place in the world it represents.
File cards provide general information on the selected character and gives insight into the world it inhabits. They act as another layer of storytelling and world-building.
Fictional company logos were created to make the components appear more realistic and expand upon the world-building. Each logo references scientists, physicists, and engineers who contributed to the study of aeronautics and space travel.
